Workshops and Mentoring!!

If you own a DSLR that you know should be producing great photos but isn’t, you’re in the right spot!!  DSLR’s have made taking great pictures a reality for many people but the camera can’t do it all on it’s own!  It’s up to you to understand some key photography fundamentals that will allow YOU to start making decisions instead of your camera!

Getting Outta Auto Intensive Workshop  –  For 3-6 people

This course will cover the following topics:

  • The importance of light and lighting
  • Understanding aperture (f-stop), shutter speed, ISO and how they work together
  • focusing properly
  • Lenses and accessories
  • Tips on composition and taking great shots – portraits and sports
  • Shooting time with Q&A

This class is not intended for those who wish to go into the business of photography.  Because everyone will be using different cameras and editing software, we will not go into the specifics of camera settings or advanced editing techniques.  We will also not be covering external lighting (flashes, strobes).  If you have any questions on content, please feel free to ask.

This workshop is now being offered on an as needed basis.  Have friends and family that are interested?  GREAT!  Let’s set up a day and time that works for all of you!  Otherwise, register on our waiting list.  Once we have 3 committed individuals, we will set up a workshop that fits your schedules.

Contact us if you have any questions or would like to register by sending an email to kelly@illustrationsphotos.com!

One-On-One Mentoring  –  $100 / hour

Do you want help but have specific questions that don’t fit with the course agenda above?  Or just prefer to work one-on-one?  One-on-one mentoring is available on an hourly basis and can be scheduled at any mutually agreeable time.  Just let me know what topics you’d like covered and we’ll get to it!

One-On-One Mentoring for two  –  $150 / hour

Have a friend or hubby who’s at a similar level or shooting with the same camera and want to share the mentoring?  No problem.  Grab a friend and save!
